Safety Strap

When putting on the equipment you put it over the valve of your air cylinder. This way. the cylinder can not drift away from you. Although the cylinder is still attached to the tank strap, it can happen that such a strap loosens up at once. In this case, the Strap ensures that you can still continue breathing, because the cylinder remains in place.

Important tip regarding the Safety Strap

Even if you have the Safety Strap as part of your equipment, you should still interrupt your dive immediately if the cylinder has loosened up!
